Baran Kosari

Baran Kosari, born on October 17, 1985, in Tehran, is an Iranian actress, set designer, costume designer, and script supervisor.

Her first acting experience was in 1991 in Dariush Farhang’s “The Best Father in the World.” All her subsequent roles until 2001 were in films directed by her mother, Rakhshan Bani-Etemad. She was nominated for the Best Actress award in the New Look section at the 30th Fajr Film Festival in 2011 for her role in the film “Hatred.”

After a two-year ban from acting, in 2013, she played in Reza Dormishian’s second film, “I’m Not Angry!” and traveled to Germany for the film’s screening at the Berlin Film Festival. Additionally, a book titled “Baran Kosari in Iranian Cinema” written by Hossein Alamgir was published by Shaista Publications.
